Le turbine eoliche ad asse orizzontale (HAWT) consentono la produzione di energia elettrica grazie alla conversione dell’energia eolica in energia meccanica e successivamente in energia elettrica. Queste unità possono sfruttare l’energia del vento per ricaricare batterie in CC o generare direttamente energia in CA grazie ad un apposito sistema elettronico.
